Jason Beck is a Vice President of Vicente Capital Partners. Previously, Jason spent more than a decade in operating and management roles at start-up companies in the telecommunications and semiconductor industries.

Jason began his career as a hardware design engineer and project engineer with Tiernan Communications where he played a key role in the development of one of the world’s first commercial HDTV MPEG encoders. He then went on to Logic Innovations where he led the hardware team that developed a high-end MPEG analysis platform and he gained experience managing the offshore manufacture of high-tech components.

In 2002, Jason joined the founders of Entropic Communications (NASD: ENTR) six months after the company’s inception and served as part of the core team that created the MoCA standard and developed the c.Link home networking chipset that is currently deployed in Verizon’s FIOS service.

During his MBA studies in 2007, Jason Beck joined Shepherd Ventures, where he sourced deals, performed due diligence and helped execute transactions. Jason holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College with distinction, and an M.B.A. with high distinction as a Carter Fellow (top 2% of his MBA class) from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
