Kiran Rao joined Vicente Capital Partners in 2009.

Prior to joining Vicente Capital, Kiran was an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of BMO Capital Markets. At BMO, Kiran worked closely with senior bankers to contribute to all phases of buyside and sellside middle market M&A origination and execution, successfully working on and executing transactions in the distribution, education, retail, technology, and transportation sectors. Kiran began his career with Morgan Stanley as a Summer Analyst.

Kiran is the Chair of the E-Council for The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Los Angeles; on the Leadership Team of The Giving Spirit, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization helping and administering aid to the homeless community through direct volunteer interaction; and has mentored undergraduate students at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business through their Career Advantage Mentoring Program (CAP). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
